When I visited Santorini last year it was one of my most memorable trips in life. Here are some reasons why Santorini should be on top of your bucket list in 2015.

The white and blue beauty of its villages:

Santorini Island consists of different small villages. Some of them are Fira, Oia and Perissa.

Fira (Thira) is the central village of Santorini where all ferries doc. If you are kind of party person and like to enjoy nightlife then fira has some really good pubs and restaurants. Fira offers beautiful views of the caldera formed by volcanic activities. Many tourists like to stay here because of the proximity to the central bus station from which connections to other villages operate.

Oia is the most beautiful village on Santorini. If you are on a romantic holiday or on a couples trip then Oia is perfect destination for you. Oia has stunning white cave houses with caldera view. These cave houses are called the cave villas of Santorini.

The Sun:

Being part of sunny side of world i.e. Greece, Santorini has been blessed with sunshine. If you want to get some sun then it is definitely calling you!

The Greek Food:

Greek cuisine is a very tempting affair. If you are a foodie and crave for good food then Feta cheese, Kebabs and Greek wine is here for you! If you are more of sweet tooth then Baklava (famous phyllo pastry dessert from Greece) awaits you.

The hiking routes:

There are two hiking routes on Santorini from Perissa to Kamari and along the caldera edge from Imerovigli to Oia. So if you are adventure lover and more of a walking person then Santorini can be a good option for you.

All of Singapore’s museums are accessible through public transport, air-conditioned, and have wheelchair accessible facilities, restrooms and souvenir shops.Best of all, given that Singapore is one of Asia’s most expensive cities, . And some days, you can even go to the museums for free!So when you’re in Singapore, try visiting:

1. The Peranakan Museum

The only museum that showcases the arts and culture of a distinct ethnic group that was shaped and continues to influence Southeast Asia. The Peranakan, which means “locally-born” in the Malay language, usually refers to the descendants of Chinese traders who settled in the straits Settlements of Singapore, Malacca and Penang in the 14th century and married Malay women. The Peranakans also include those who descended from unions between Indian merchants and local women during the 15th century. This intermarriage produced a fusion of cultures, and is reflected in the colorful cuisine, architecture and fashion that form the multicultural mix of Singapore and Malaysia.

2. Singapore Art Museum (SAM)

With over 7,000 Southeast Asian pieces of artwork in its permanent collection, SAM stands as the region’s repository of visual art. The collection includes paintings, sculptures, multimedia installations, drawings, prints and photographs – eye candy for those who can’t get enough of modern and contemporary art.

3. National Museum of Singapore

This is custodian of the 11 National Treasures – the most important artefacts in Singapore’s history. It includes the Last Will and Testament of Munshi Abdullah, the Father of Modern Malay literature, the 1930’s era Chinese glove puppet theater stage and a collection of watercolor paintings of local floral and fauna commissioned by William Farquhar, the First Resident of colonial Singapore.Visitors interested in Singapore’s history should also go to the museum’s Four Living Galleries – a showcase of artefacts, replicas, pictures, costumes and even old films that document the history of Singapore fashion, performing arts, photography and cuisine.

4. Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM)

This is a must see for those who want to backpack around Asia. A visit to the ACM is like going through a crash course on Asian studies. It is the only museum that’s dedicated to present artifacts and collections representing different regions of Asia including China and the Middle East.

5. Singapore Philatelic Museum

The museum that appeals to the child in us, as who after all didn’t have a stamp collection when they were kids? The museum’s collection includes stamps and archival philatelic material of Singapore from the 1830’s to present day. The museum also encourages philately in Singapore, with its permanent galleries not only dedicated to the global history of stamps, but also organizes workshops and talks on how stamps chronicle Singapore’s history.

One of the big advantages of living in the western society today is the ability to travel. This is something the low and middle class has been able to do for only some decades. Only 60-70 years ago it was very expensive to travel long distances and to other countries. And if we go further back in time it was almost impossible because the fact that there were no airplanes. But today, even a person with a low salaried job can easily save money to travel to the other side of the world. It’s something we take for granted but we should really appreciate this wonderful opportunity.

When you live in a country you get very used to all the social and cultural behaviors there. It’s easy to think that this is all what the world is about. There is differences between all countries, sometimes small and sometimes huge. Therefore don’t spend another moment putting off traveling go on, and book yourself on a trip. Travel to other countries and gain the experience from their cultures, this will sure enrich your life in many ways.

If you are very adventures, you might consider traveling to far less developed countries. To see poverty and struggle of the less fortunate. You will probably be amazed of how happy many people in poor countries might be. You might think that their standards of life are beyond sense, but to them, it’s how the world is. Remember aside from fun, when we travel we also gain some of the insights of the places we visit. Happy traveling!

“To travel is to take a journey into yourself” – Danny Kaye

As the above quote says, traveling is a journey not from one place to another, but to find your inner self. Travel teaches you some things which can’t be taught by a book.

Discovering your “Self”:

Who are you? Are you an engineer working hard for your company? A doctor struggling to get a solution for your patients answers? Or have just become stuck in day-to-day life? The answer is No! You are a free spirit whose only form is happiness. Travel gives you the time to discover your true self. It teaches you to find answers to the questions you are afraid of thinking. It widens your horizons and makes you think more openly about your life.

Confidence Boost:

Travel acts as a confidence booster. Whether it may be deciding which route you take or what airlines you choose to travel or choices of food, when it comes to travel the outcome will sometimes depend on the decisions you’ve made. Whatever may be the outcome of these decisions; your confidence will be boosted. Remember the more you travel, you become wiser!

New Vision:

Sometimes you don’t find answers to your questions because; you look at it in a predefined way. To get a solution; you need to find a new way to look at it. Travel provides a new vision to overlook your situation. There comes a time when you are alone, sitting at a quiet place, away from home; thinking about your life and yes! You find a new way of seeing things.

Unless, the delay or cancellation was unavoidable, passengers are well within their rights to claim compensation from the airline for the mental stress and inconvenience the airline put them through by delaying or cancelling the flight.

The real reason why airlines delay paying claims

The margins on air travel are very thin. So airlines would rather not pay any compensation to their customers, if they can avoid it. They have purposely made the claim process difficult, so that passengers feel harassed and ultimately drop their claims.

It may sound incredulous, but airlines actually want passengers to stop contacting them with claims because they know it will hit their profits. Airlines also reject complaints with the hope that the passenger will not pursue the case further.

If your flight has been delayed or worst case scenario, cancelled, you should contact the airline and ask that they return your money. When you do this, the airline will entangle you in so much bureaucratic red tape that at the end of it, you would think twice before you contact an airline again to claim refunds or compensation.

What to do in this case?

Your best option would be to contact a flight delay claims management company. Many passengers find that taking the help of a flight delay claims management company is the most efficient way to get money from the airlines. Others turn to flight compensation claims management companies when they are not able to get a response from the airline. If you want to claim flight delay compensation, your best bet might be a flight delay claims management company. Here are some more instances where you might have to take their help.

The airline has cited a ‘technical problem’ as the reason for flight delay or cancellation

The Supreme Court recently ruled that airlines cannot claim ‘technical problems’ as extraordinary circumstances, to delay a flight or cancel it (Jet2.Com Limited v Huzar). This means, if your airlines is refusing to refund your ticket or pay you compensation due to this reason, they are in the wrong and you deserve to be paid. In such a case, you can contact a flight compensation claims company to pursue your case.

If you do not have time to pursue your case yourself but still want your money back

Most people who travel by flights work full time and they do not have time to pursue their case with the airline. The airline also knows this and tries to delay the case as much as possible, so that the passenger becomes exasperated and gives up. Most flight delay claims management companies work on a ‘no win, no fee’ basis. This means, they get paid, only if you get refunded or if you win compensation. You can therefore concentrate on your work, while the flight compensation claims management company pursues your claim with the airline.

You have done all you could but the airline won’t listen to you

If you have done your best to get your point across to the airline, but you feel the airline is trying to avoid you or delay the process, then it is a good idea to contact a flight delay claims management company. These companies are aware of the underhand tactics that airlines use to cheat their passengers and they know how to work around them. It is also possible that you don’t know how to file a claim (the process is complex, remember) and you need professional help. In all these cases, you can claim flight delay compensation through such companies.

Traveling can be expensive especially when you don’t have your own car, especially in an expensive city like London. Sometimes it so happens that your friends or relatives come by and you have to entertain them. You need to take them out and show off your city. Such local sightseeing can be really exhausting. Even if you do own your car, driving it for whole day or a couple of days consecutively can be really tiring.

Minibus Hire is what you need?

Minibus hire can become a helping hand for you in this regard. It is a small bus in which seating capacity differs from bus to bus. Starting from 6 seater, it can be as big as 33 seater. So yeah, it can accommodate as many guests of yours as you want. It is taken as the most convenient vehicle for travelling primarily because of two reasons:

You can travel in group with a lesser travel pay, and

It is more comfortable for travel lovers who do not have their own cars.

The actual rate of minibus hire London depends on the agreement of the parties, the kind of minibus rented and the distance of travel.

Minibus is not just for sightseeing

Minibus offers convenience at many occasions. For example, wedding transfers. Most of the wedding venues are far away from the place where most of the guests live. In such a case, minibus hire can be really helpful and economical. A bunch of guests can be put in one vehicle especially if the expenses are lesser than letting them have a car pull.

How to look for minibus hire firms?

It is likely that a minibus hire is available in your place. You just need to search online to find the nearest and trusted minibus hire firm in your area. Also, do not forget to compare the prices of all your nearby firms and carefully read any terms and conditions mentioned herein for the services offered by them. This is recommended for you to avail of the maximum services they give.

Other points to take care of:

Safety: Always examine the safety level and precautionary measures offered by minibus hire company as a part of their service because accidents don’t come invited.

Prior Research: Always do some research when you plan on renting a minibus. Check the background of the company services and its offers. You can also check recommendations and testimonials you’re your friends.

Above all, never forget that getting everyone to travel in a same vehicle adds up to the excitement and make it even more enjoyable. Therefore, hiring a minibus is the best shot that you can give to a fun-filled trip.
