During a menstruation period, women will experience on what is called a Premenstrual Syndrome, or PMS for short; a disorder characterized by emotional, physical and behavioral symptoms. This is a common thing that women feel. But even so, women can still do exercise amid their menstrual period.

In fact, exercising or doing other physical activity during menstruation period is even suggested. Sticking with a regular routine can help relieve some of the common complaints that come with menstruation, as reported by healthline.com.

However, more attention is needed if you want to exercise during menstruation, here are some exercise tips for it:

1. Do exercises that you like

Menstruation is indeed not the time to try high-intensity sports such as skydiving. Do what you have tried and loved, such as yoga for instance.

2. Choose the right product

You certainly can’t use pads while swimming. Tampons are an option, although many women find them uncomfortable. Regular pads can cause inflammation during your physical activity. Adjust the product that you think is suitable for use.

3. Relax

Menstruation is an opportunity to reflect, relax and rest, but also don’t rule out exercising. A walk around the neighborhood can also be included as exercising. You can also do a relaxing yoga or stretching routine. Anything that gets you moving also gets your blood flowing and your endorphins kicking in.

4. Stop when you feel tired
