5 Easy Tips For Mothers Travelling With Kids On Long Flights

1. Book The Flight As Per The Kid’s Sleep Schedule

The best way to have a stress-free travel experience in an airplane is to choose such a flight that matches your child’s sleeping pattern. Once your kid falls asleep on board you are free to have a nap and have a good travel too.

2. Pack Meals For The Journey

It is always advisable to pack your food for a good flight experience, more so in case of kids. So, pack all the meals for you kinds so that they know that they are in a known environment and in comfort. Try to pack your kids’ favourite snacks, which you would otherwise avoid giving them. It may keep them cheerful all along the journey. Also keep some candies and cookies handy.

3. Pack The Check-In Luggage Thoughtfully

You need to be extra careful while packing the cabin luggage bag as it is all that you have on board of the flight. Most of the airlines have some restrictions on the weight of the cabin luggage, so choose the luggage wisely. Include a pair of clothes change for yourself and your kid, some of your child’s favourite toys, reading books, sleeping pillow, a blanket, warm clothing and anything that your child is familiar with, for a comfortable experience. But do not pack too heavy as you have to carry the luggage plus your kid.

4. Carry The Stroller

Your child’s daily stroller can be of great use while navigating through a busy airport. Your kid will be less cranky when put in their known environment. It will be easier and less tiring for you to carry your child without having to lift him/her all the time. Plus, stroller is a good storage device to carry the essentials and can pass through the security too.

5. Take The Aisle Seat

We know that it may be your least favourite preference but when you are travelling with an infant or toddler, you never know how many times you need to get up from your seat, either to use the washroom or simply for taking a stroll in the plane. It is a better way to have a smooth travel experience without disturbing the fellow co-passengers.
