When it comes to beauty, we all love to go the au naturel way! There are so many amazing ingredients in our kitchen that can easily be a part of our beauty routine. While it is advised that we should follow a particular skincare regime every day, face packs are one department where we can experiment.
Making a face pack at home is super simple. Just take a few kitchen ingredients, mix them up and your pack is ready. For you to feel refreshed all seven days of the week, we bring to you seven face packs that are super simple to make.
Start your week with the freshness of cucumber. Take a piece of fresh cucumber and peel off the skin. Grate it and then pass the mashed cucumber through a sieve to get the juice. You’ll require around one teaspoon of cucumber juice. To this, add one teaspoon of chilled rose water along with lemon juice in the same quantity. With the help of a cotton ball or pad, put the mix all over your face. Let is stay for 10 minutes and wash it off.
Coming to Tuesday, you can take a page from your nani’s nuska and make ubtan for yourself. For this, you’ll need one tablespoon of gram flour (besan). Mix it with 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric, two teaspoons of curd and one teaspoon of lemon juice. Put this pack on your face and let it dry. Once done, gently rub your hands on your face to take the pack off. This will help you get rid of tanning.
Keep it light on the next day by applying super simple milk and rose essential oil pack. In 1/4 cup of milk add a few drops of the essential oil and apply it all over your face with the help of a cotton ball or pad.
Next up, make a coffee pack for yourself. Take one teaspoon of ground coffee and mix it with one tablespoon of curd. Apply it on your face for 15-20 minutes then wash it off with lukewarm water.
As you wrap up your work and begin your weekend on Friday, treat yourself to a tomato face pack. Blend a piece of fresh tomato to make a puree. Take about two tablespoons of tomato puree and mix it with one tablespoon of milk and two tablespoons of ground oats. Add one tablespoon of chilled rose water and it’s done.
For Saturday, try a banana face pack. It is super simple to make. All you need is one mashed banana mixed with honey. Mix the two ingredients well using your hands and apply the pack for 15-20 minutes before rinsing.
Finish the week by making yourself an almond face pack. Soak a cup of almonds in water overnight and then grind into a coarse paste. Take the paste in a clean bowl and add 1 tablespoon each of honey and milk. Apply it evenly on your face and leave it for 10 minutes.
While all these face packs are au naturel, it is advised that you check for allergies before putting them on your face. An easy way to do it is by taking a small portion of the pack and put it either on the back of your hand or on your elbow and see if there is any reaction.
