What causes hair loss in teenagers

We have noticed that while many of us face hair loss at a later stage of our life, there are many who start losing their hair as teenagers.
Hair Loss or baldness is something that usually only adults need to worry about, but sometimes teens start losing their hair too, and yes definitely it may be a sign that something is wrong. Hair loss in teenagers can be because of several reasons. Let us see what causes hair loss in teenagers.

We were seeing a lot of teenage children coming especially after Covid with increasing hair loss due to the hair cycle being accelerated in the telogen or shedding phase.

Your college years should be spent enjoying the experience of learning, socializing and starting your adult life – not facing anxiety about losing your hair. If you’re suffering from hair loss in your teens and early 20s, male pattern baldness or another cause – such as medications, hormonal changes, overly tight hairstyles or inflammation – may be the reason.
