We know how much women love the whole idea of body positivity and we appreciate that women are finally embracing their real body type and shape. But at the same time, most of you’d agree that there’s nothing wrong in dressing up a particular way in order to meet an aspiration. Curvy girls may love their body but sometimes they ust want to look a little lighter and same holds true for short girls, who may want to look tall on a particular day! If you have had those moments when you have felt the urge to break away from your original body shade and type, then these tips are for you! If you are short and want to look tall for that date with a hunky, tall boy, all you need to do is shop a particular kind of clothes and accessories that will naturally make you look taller than your usual height. Well, here’s help!

Shop vertical stripes

Just like horizontal stripes make you look heavy, vertical ones can make you look taller. While thin stripes are better, thick ones when worn well work just as well. Choose t-shirts, shirts and jackets which have vertical stripes on them.

Ankle straps are a big ‘No’

Again, by the same logic ankle straps also tend to make you look shorter and stockier and do your petite frame more harm than good. If you like strappy sandals, say hello to heels.

Ditch the shirt dress

These maybe comfortable but they are the least flattering outfit for your body type. Shirt dresses owing to their lack of distinguished and sharp silhouettes tend to give you a square shaped look, which you obviously aren’t looking for.

Wear deeper necklines

A deep V neckline can elongate your frame and make you look taller. However, for short busty women this could pose as a problem too.

Invest in maxis

If you like wearing maxis, go right ahead and wear them. Just make sure than they are the right fight. Maxis than narrow down at the bottom are the best kinds for a short frame.
