Plus size fashion has rapidly grown in the last few years. The fashion world has finally made a way for ‘curvy’ and ‘plus size’ style—creating a balance for body diversity.

With such a growing market, many brands and designers have been driven and are now offering bigger sizes.

If you love your curves and don’t know how to style your clothes, then here is some easy help as we look at some styling tips for plus size women.

According to Akanksha Savanal, Founder of Mumbai-based inclusive fashion label ‘A Curve Story’, “It’s important that you spend time understanding how you want to look – basis how you want to feel! Not what you should be/must wear or look like according to others. If you’d like to hide certain parts, if you want to show off others, if you want to go against the norm or stick with it – it is important to choose what makes you feel good.” The entrepreneur shares a few tips on how to look best when you are curvy.

1. Cuts that define the waistline tend to add a sleek look to the outfit. If this is the effect you’re looking for, add a belt or try empire lines!

2. Wearing one statement piece at a time is a great way to start. When experimenting with prints, you could choose to accentuate one part of the body- torso, midriff or bottom with your choice of cut/fit.

3. If you’re feeling ‘tall’ for the day, high rise jeans can be your best friends! They help the legs look longer. Pair them with comfortable heels and voila!

4. While layering, choose light layers & preferably those that accentuate the waist so your curves aren’t hidden!

5. Bodycon dresses and skirts that show off those stunning curves are absolutely yes-yes!
